Feel the beat with Leicester’s live music events


Is there anything better about summer than being able to enjoy the (rare) sunny weather whilst listening to live music?

We don’t think so!


Summertime means it’s festival season and it comes as no surprise that UK music events are increasingly drawing in the crowds! With a record-breaking 30.9 million people shown to have paid to see their favourite acts perform live last year according to one report, live music events are thought to have generated an estimated £4bn for the UK Economy in 2017.

In the East Midlands alone, the number of ‘music tourists’ attending events surged to 553,000 (42% of which are estimated to be visitors from outside the region) and live music events are estimated to have generated £194 million for the region last year – an increase of 19% compared to that created in 2016.
