Music Business degrees that break out of the boardroom
Music arguably forms the widely diverse and fast-moving backbone of the creative sector, but if you think opportunities in music are confined to musicians and producers, you couldn’t be more wrong!
Offering a range of career opportunities for those with the passion, talent, tenacity and drive to succeed; there has never been a better time to launch a career in Music business, and you can specialise in anything from stage or artist management, music production and sound engineering, marketing, events and PR, or even music education and therapy.
As technology advances and the music industry continues to adapt to suit the changing tastes and demands of its audiences, it has become increasingly important to look beyond the boardroom and gain both the in-depth practical knowledge AND the entrepreneurship and employability skills to launch a long-term sustainable career.
At Echo Factory, practical entrepreneurship forms the core of our ethos as we help you learn how to make a success out of what you love most!
Our first-year students, for example, have recently launched their first four-track EP. A collaboration between Performance and Business students; this involved Performance students working together to compose, write and perform each of the tracks before our Business students produced and mastered them in Logic Pro X and organised marketing and distribution plans to present the EP to the market.
“Seeing our students work together to create and launch their EP has been great! They’ve been able to apply many of the strategies and techniques they’ve learnt throughout their first year at Echo Factory and the choice of genres and styles presented really highlights the range of what they can now achieve!”
– Tom Conway, Music Business Tutor
