ONE OF THE BIGGEST NAMES IN ROCK DRUMMING COMES TO ECHO FACTORY

On Thursday 30th March 2017, Echo Factory is proud to present an evening with one of the UK’s most experienced and established names in rock drumming: Russell Gilbrook.

Russell will deliver a masterclass where he will discuss his career, life as a professional musician and offer a unique technical insight to his powerhouse style of rock and prog drumming.

Throughout the evening Russell will cover recording tips, audition advice, touring tips and generally all questions regarding the music business and performing live.

So, if you are based in Leicester or the wider community come and learn from one of the biggest names in drumming today!

In terms of experience, Russell has literally seen and done it all.  He had his first lesson when he was 4 years old, was earning money from playing drums at the age of 6, and was depping in West End shows at 12. Russell turned fully professional at 16 and did every kind of gig imaginable from pubs, cabaret, and cruises right through to global arena tours and studio sessions.  He has gone on to establish himself as a rock and metal powerhouse and has worked with some of the biggest names in music, including Uriah Heep (who have sold over 40 million records worldwide and chalked up two European Grammys), Van Morrison and Tony Iommi (Black Sabbath).  Russell plays Sakae Drums and Paiste cymbals.

Echo Factory are delighted to be hosting this event in their brand new live venue, and see it as a fantastic opportunity for any drummer of any ability or age to get a real insight into life as a professional musician with one of Britain’s most established drummers.

Rather than do the usual `clinic`, Russell and Echo Factory have teamed up to deliver a masterclass that will not only be inspirational but also aspirational for all attendees.  Everyone should walk away having learnt something that they can take away and apply to their own playing.

Venue: Echo Factory, 68 Humberstone Gate, Leicester, LE1 3PL.

Doors: 6:30pm (bar will be open).  Event starts at 7:30pm.
